The aerolatte® No. 4 Size Filter Papers – a key ingredient in your daily coffee
Did you know that coffee filter papers play an integral role in producing a ‘drip-style’ coffee that is smooth, sediment-free and free from undesirable fats and oils?
In fact, the right coffee filter papers can be the difference between an average cup of coffee and achieving the ‘perfect’ aroma and flavour.
Over the years, our passion for really great coffee led us to the good, the bad and the ugly when it came to filter papers. Eventually, we took all of our knowledge to design our very own aerolatte® Coffee Filter papers.
What makes them so special?
Our No.4 size aerolatte® Coffee Filter Papers are universally compatible – simply fold them in one of two different ways, depending on the device to be used.
- The ‘standard fold’ provides the optimal flow rate and level of extraction for traditional and modern ‘drip’ coffee makers
- For alternative devices such as V60 Japanese-style cones or Chemex Glass Carafes, fold the papers along their inner score lines to create a cone
Whichever fold you use, you’ll find that the aerolatte® Coffee Filter Papers are resistant to tearing. This is thanks to a super-strong, double-secure, two-sided patented wave seam that can stand up to the weight of the water during filtrations and won’t break when lifting.
All of our Coffee Filter Papers are crafted from premium quality, pure-grade paper that is free from environmental pollutants.
The virgin pulp that is used to make the papers contains no wood or recycled content and is Totally Chlorine Free (TCF). It is supplied from forestry in Switzerland using processes that have been certified as both responsible and sustainable.
On their journey from the Swiss forests to your coffee maker, the aerolatte® Coffee Filter Papers are manufactured in Germany without the use of glue or bonding. They conform to all food legislation and the specific requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
They’re also fully biodegradable for hassle-free disposal after usage. In fact, they make perfect green compost material, adding vital nitrogen to your soil.
Need a smaller filter paper?
The aerolatte® Coffee Filter papers are also available in a No. 2 Size that is ideal when making a single large cup/mug using both classical and modern ‘drip’ coffee makers, including automatic devices.
